Arthur Lane

Corporate Revenue Manager

Arthur attended Quinnipiac University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Prior to joining Charlestowne, he spent over four years at Wild Dunes Resort in purchasing, reservations and revenue. Arthur is responsible for maximizing room revenue through effective pricing and distribution strategies for multiple hotel properties.

Amanda Haak

Accounts Payable Specialist

Amanda is a Chicago native that moved to Charleston in 2016. She is responsible for accounts payable, sales tax and providing administrative support the the accounting team.

What is your favorite food from around the world?
Italian is my favorite – I can eat pizza seven days a week!

Blair Gottfried

Area Sales and Events Coordinator

A graduate of Clemson University (Go Tigers!), Blair moved to Washington, D.C., working both on Capitol Hill and the private sector.  After moving out of politics, Blair got her start in events working for a luxury wedding planning company in the D.C. area, and then for a high-end, luxury, society magazine. Blair is the area sales and events coordinator, working with the downtown Charleston area.

Brian Irvin

Corporate Accounting Manager

Brian Irvin attended Clemson University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in Spanish. After graduating, Brian obtained his CPA license and began his career in public accounting as an auditor with big four accounting firm Deloitte & Touche in Atlanta, GA. Brian later moved to Charleston to transition into a corporate accounting role for the global real estate company, Greystar Real Estate Partners. Since joining Charlestowne Hotels in 2015, he has been responsible for monthly and annual financial statement preparation for many properties within the Charlestowne portfolio.

Brianne Asher

Director of Creative Strategy

Brianne launched her career as a photography producer in New York City planning campaigns for Fruit of the Loom, Nike, Sohat, Broadway and many others. Prior to joining Charlestowne Hotels, her role as a photographer and reviewer for TripAdvisor introduced her to hospitality and allowed her to travel extensively. She has photographed over 200 hotels across the country, including independent boutiques and brands like Hilton, Marriott, and Westin.  Since 2016, she has led the in-house creative team to deliver strategic work across every discipline.

Brittany Lee

Director of Human Resources

Brittany began her illustrious hospitality career as a recreation attendant at the iconic Grand Hotel Golf Resort and Spa, Alabama’s largest and most prestigious beachfront resort located along the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. She continued to gain valuable experience through working in several different roles, including front desk while she worked toward her human resources degree from Auburn University at Montgomery. After graduating, Brittany joined the human resources team as an HR Specialist, focusing primarily on benefits administration and employee relations. Brittany’s success and ambition led her to become a rising star within the company and she received several key promotions, culminating with her most recent role as an HR Manager at The Marriott Prattville Hotel and Conference Center at Capitol Hill. Brittany continued to further her educational aspirations and obtained her Master’s Degree in HR from Troy University in 2016. As an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management and recipient of the 2018 Innovation and Employment Engagement Leadership award, Brittany has demonstrated her commitment and passion for the HR profession, and is excited to be a part of Charlestowne Hotels growing legacy.

Christopher Harvey

Corporate Operations Manager

Chris is a graduate of Clemson University with over 15 years of hotel and resort operations experience in the Charleston, South Carolina area.  Chris spent 10 years at Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms, S.C. in a variety of management roles including housekeeping, front office, food and beverage and reservations. He also has over five years GM experience in both branded and independent hotels.  Currently he supports several Charleston-area hotels and assists with corporate level projects as well as hotel development projects. Chris is on the board of directors for the Lowcountry Hospitality Association and Palmetto Goodwill and has been with Charlestowne Hotels for three years. Chris was the recipient of the 2019 Hotelier of the Year Award for the state of South Carolina given by the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association.

Conor Goodwin

Marketing Manager

Conor joins Charlestowne Hotels with five years of hospitality marketing experience for lifestyle properties, most recently with Davidson Hotels & Resorts in Los Angeles. In his current role as marketing manager, Conor will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies to drive direct revenue for the portfolio.

Where are you from or where did you grow up?
Fun fact: I was born in Zurich, Switzerland.

David Teich

Director of Food & Beverage

David Teich has over 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry with many elite and award-winning hotels and restaurants. Most recently, David was CEO of DST Hospitality Group LLC, a consulting firm specializing in food and beverage planning, asset management, owner advisory services, operations and management solutions, litigation and risk management and receivership. 

Prior to that David was general manager of the highly acclaimed, luxury Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans for nearly ten years. He was accountable for the primary management, budget, capital plan and goals of the $40 million per year hotel operations, and facilitated an extensive renovation of the hotel’s guest rooms and public spaces. In addition, during his tenure in New Orleans, he proudly served on many prominent boards including the Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association (CEO for 2017), The Arts Council of New Orleans (Executive Committee), French Quarter Festivals Inc. (Executive Committee), the New Orleans Tourism and Marketing Corporation and the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau. 

Prior to joining the Windsor Court, David was with Orient-Express’ most celebrated American hotel, Charleston Place, located in the heart of historic Charleston, South Carolina. There, David acted as the director of operations, food and beverage director, and developed and managed the hotel’s destination management company. David has also held management positions with the Hyatt Regency in Coral Gables, Florida, Holiday Inn Hotels and the famed Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, California.

Elizabeth Kornhoff

Corporate Accounting Manager

Elizabeth attended the University of South Carolina where she received degrees in both Accounting and Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. She brings with her over 10 years of hospitality experience on both the operations and accounting side of the hotel industry. At Charlestowne Hotels Elizabeth is responsible for several properties’ P&L statements.

Everett L. Smith Jr.

Chief Executive Officer

Everett L. Smith, Jr., has served as chief executive officer of Charlestowne Hotels since 1980. In this capacity, he has supervised the development and operation of multiple hotels located in Charleston, Myrtle Beach and several other major destinations within the Southeast. He has also provided a wide range of consulting services relating to the hotel industry such as valuation and market analysis, operations and financial management, and marketing and renovation planning. Everett, a graduate of the University of South Carolina and a Charleston native, has been listed as a “Who’s Who” in the hospitality industry.

Gareth Brown

Corporate Director of Operations

Gareth Brown has had a diverse career in hospitality spanning more than 20 years prior to joining Charlestowne Hotels. Growing up in Anchorage, Alaska, Gareth worked in a variety of senior leadership roles in both independent boutique and upscale tour and convention properties while also attending the University of Alaska, Anchorage, for Business Administration. He was a recipient of “Top Forty Under 40” and “Hotel Manager of The Year” awards for the state of Alaska. In search of warmer climates, he moved to Southern California where he began his tenure with Montage Hotels & Resorts. Over the next 10 years he spent time in Beverly Hills, Park City, Las Vegas and Palmetto Bluff, holding senior and executive level positions which included oversight of operations, rooms division and residential services within these properties. Gareth was on the opening team of three renowned 5 Star / 5 Diamond Montage properties, and also attended the UNLV School of Hospitality during this time. Gareth now has multiple independent properties within his Charlestowne portfolio, ranging from the Southeast Coast to Central California.

Gavin Philipp

Vice President of Operations

With a career that spans two decades, Gavin Philipp has successfully managed and operated some of the best-known hotels across the U.S. He is a vital component of the Charlestowne Operations Team with boots-on-the-ground experience that makes him an impactful leader in operations, special projects and business development. Philipp also supports the HR and IT efforts of the company, offering a range of expertise that allows him to optimize and unify the efforts of his team and partners. Philipp has successfully overseen flagship properties in the company’s hometown of Charleston, South Carolina and most recently has developed a keen understanding of operations management for Charlestowne’s various adaptive reuse projects around the country. Under his leadership, multiple Charlestowne Hotels have been awarded coveted titles including Travel + Leisure’s Number One Hotel in the U.S. (The Spectator) and Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Award Best Hotel in Charleston (French Quarter Inn).  

Prior to joining Charlestowne, Philipp served in high leadership roles, including general manager of the Loews Annapolis Hotel and hotel manager at Washington D.C.’s iconic Madison Hotel. In 2015, he was named a member of the Charleston Regional Business Journal “Forty Under 40” – an award that recognizes the success and community involvement of professionals under the age 40 who are making a mark on their region. Philipp holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and a minor in French from Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia. He’s provided industry insight for outlets including Hotel ManagementLodging and Hotel News Now.

Gavin Royster

Director of Development

Gavin Royster is responsible for all new business development activities including deal sourcing, proforma development, and contract negotiation that facilitate the continued growth of Charlestowne Hotels’ award-winning portfolio across the U.S. Since joining the Charlestowne team, Gavin has sought to expand the breadth of diverse properties the company successfully manages. He has an innovative eye for seeing the potential in prospective projects that range from boutique, niche hotels to larger, independent or soft brand properties. Gavin’s dynamic ability to connect with owners and his understanding of the tailored approach for each asset is integral to his fast-tracked success within the hospitality industry.

Gavin’s previous experience includes overseeing hotel acquisitions, development and asset management with Davidson Hotels & Resorts and Atrium Hospitality. Gavin graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration.

Heather Moldenhauer

Corporate Director of Communications

With almost 20 years of marketing communications experience, Heather has held a variety of roles in both agency and in-house departments for both private and publicly traded companies.  Twice she has managed the North American communications departments for international organizations. During her career, Heather has stayed industry fluid as she utilized her experience in the agriculture, medical, industrial and fashion sectors.  At Charlestowne Hotels, Heather will focus on the continued development of the corporate brand.

Who is your favorite travel companion?
Traveling with my three children and husband, J.R., is the BEST – we love to explore and find local spots wherever we go!

Jack Geraci

Corporate Director of Operations

Jack Geraci’s experience in hospitality management spans over 22 years. His diverse management background in hotels and restaurants range from luxury boutique hotels, condo hotels, adaptive reuse and conference resorts. Over the past 10 years he has held his role as corporate director of operations overseeing, developing or acquiring over 30 properties with Charlestowne Hotels. Prior to his corporate role Jack directly managed award winning properties such as HarbourView Inn, French Quarter Inn and Lodge Alley Inn to name a few. His tenure with Charlestowne Hotels includes oversight of multiple renovations in excess of $70M and six ground up development projects. Jack’s focus is on all aspects of operations, development, owner communication with direct oversight of the properties general managers.

Where are you from or where did you grow up?
I was born and raised on Lake Erie in a small town called North East, Pennsylvania.

Jackie Mann

Marketing Manager

Jackie earned a graduate certificate in Digital Marketing from the University of Virginia in addition to dual bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and Hospitality & Tourism Management from Virginia Tech. Jackie’s background includes five years of marketing experience in both the real estate and hospitality industries, most recently Hilton in Washington, D.C. where she worked on the Hilton & Hilton Honors brand marketing teams.

Jamie Falanga

While studying at Southern Connecticut State University, Jamie began his hospitality career by completing the college program internship at Walt Disney World Resorts. From there, Jamie continued to gain a wide range of operational experience throughout the project management, business development, and hospitality sectors.

Jennifer Jost

Director of Marketing Strategy

Jennifer graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and minor in Studio Arts. She has over 10 years of experience in marketing that spans from being an account analyst at a digital agency and digital marketing manager at a luxury hotel, to her current position as the lead for the marketing strategy team for Charlestowne Hotels. She has been with the company for almost four years, and brings a depth of digital marketing knowledge and strategic input to generate true revenue for our portfolio.

Jennifer West

Corporate Director of Operations

Jennifer comes to Charlestowne Hotels with over 17 years of diverse hospitality experience spanning across departments: front office, housekeeping and food & beverage. With a degree in accounting from Indiana University of Pennslyvania, Jennifer served as controller at Wild Dunes Resort for seven years before moving into operations leadership. At Charlestowne, Jennifer serves as a corporate director of operations where she oversees much of the portfolio’s university market assets along with a special focus on food & beverage.

Jessica Bowman

Area Director of Sales

Jessica comes to Charlestowne Hotels with 17 years of successful experience in event planning and hospitality sales. Jessica has worked for the American Bar Association as an event planner for the International Law Section, Hilton Hotels and currently Charlestowne Hotels where she is the area director of sales for five boutique style hotels in Charleston’s Historic District and one in Northampton, Massachusetts.  Jessica’s strong communication and negotiation skills, coupled with her competitive nature allows her to be successful in selling these beautiful properties.

Jimmy Siebold

Corporate Director of Operations

A hospitality industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, Jimmy Siebold brings an exemplary history of hotel management and restaurant experience to Charlestowne Hotels. A graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in Integrated Supply Management, Jimmy started his career at the Jefferson Hotel, a five-star, five-diamond property in Richmond, Virginia. He has also served as a general manager at the four-diamond Kiawah Island Resort in South Carolina. Jimmy has held the position of director of operations at various sports complexes that include the Jacksonville Jaguars, Pittsburgh Pirates and the Harley Davidson Museum. After assuming the role as food and beverage director at the Tides Hotel in Folly Beach, South Carolina, Jimmy joined Charlestowne Hotels in August 2012 as a general manager at the North Charleston Inn and has been a regional director of operations since 2014. Recently, Jimmy received his Advance Marketing Certification from Cornell University. Jimmy has been an integral team member with multiple renovation and repositioning projects during his tenure with Charlestowne Hotels. His passion for heartfelt hospitality and dedication to the future of the industry are highly instrumental in overseeing and defining the properties which he oversees.

Joanna Gonzalez

Executive Assistant to the Vice Presidents

Joanna is joining us with almost ten years of operations experience and five years focused on accounting and human resources. For the last three years, Joanna was the operations manager for Meeting Street Elementary at Brentwood where she oversaw facilities operations, assisted with human resources and training, and managed procurement and accounting responsibilities.

I love lomo saltado, a staple Peruvian dish.

Johnathan Capps

Vice President of Revenue

Johnathan Capps oversees the internal and external revenue management strategies at Charlestowne Hotels. Offering extensive knowledge in corporate revenue strategies, Johnathan takes a 360-degree approach to Charlestowne’s work: marrying creative development with data science to increase revenue and assess the viability of targeted campaigns and initiatives. Through his extensive research in new software and operational processes, he’s created profitability enhancement methods that have resulted in game changing ROI at Charlestowne’s hotels. His expertise has been used in multiple hospitality resources including  Hotel Business, Hotel News Now and Hospitality Net. 

Capps joined Charlestowne Hotels in 2010 as corporate revenue manager, and later grew to director of marketing before accepting the vice president of revenue position. Prior to joining the Charlestowne team, Capps was director of revenue optimization at Wild Dunes Resort, and he also received experience in hotel development with a Florida-based management company. Capps earned a degree in hospitality and tourism management from the College of Charleston and currently serves as an adviser for the college’s hospitality revenue management MBA program.

I grew up in the vacation destination for much of Ohio and Pennsylvania – Myrtle Beach!

Julee Weeks

Corporate Payroll Manager

As a local South Carolinian, Julee has a special place in her heart for Charleston.  She began her hospitality career in 2008 as a guest services agent gaining experience in several departments leading up to her joining the Charlestowne Hotels corporate team in 2016.  Her hospitality, human resources and payroll experience have been invaluable as the company continues to grow. Julee has a passion for anything concerning travel and loves to explore new locations and cultures.

Julie attended Georgia College and State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Justine Timmins

Justine comes to us with over five years of experience in the hospitality industry. After receiving her Masters of Business Administration from College of Charleston she began her career as a revenue analyst at a boutique luxury property in Hawaii. After holding various revenue focused roles she moved over to Expedia where she spent a year and a half before moving back into revenue management here at Charlestowne Hotels. Justine is focused on driving revenue by daily management of rate strategy, evaluating channel and market segment mix, and keeping a keen eye on market and demand fluctuations.

I should say my husband, but I love traveling with my girlfriends.

Karl DeHaven

Corporate Director of Revenue

Karl graduated from the University of South Carolina where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He began his career with Charlestowne Hotels as a front desk agent at the King Charles Inn in Charleston’s Historic District and soon after was promoted to reservation manager. In 2012 he became a revenue analyst for Springmaid Beach Resort, and since 2014 he has been a corporate revenue manager. As a corporate revenue manager, Karl will be responsible for the execution of revenue strategy in nine markets ranging from a small college town to a top 25 market.

What is your favorite food from around the world?
Tavern Burger at Little Jack’s Tavern right here in Charleston, South Carolina.

Kelli Pagels

Corporate Director of Revenue

Kelli has spent the last 12 years working in the hospitality field specializing in revenue management, with experience ranging from a luxury 18 room boutique property to a 450 room multi-property resort. She has worked with new builds, property transitions and both independent and branded properties. Kelli is focused on driving revenue by daily management of rate strategy, evaluating channel and market segment mix and keeping a keen eye on market and demand fluctuations.

Marketing Manager

With more than six years of marketing and communications experience, Nelson develops inspiring and effective marketing strategies for Charlestowne portfolio of hotels. She holds an MBA, with a focus in hospitality revenue management from the College of Charleston and a bachelor’s degree in music from Furman University. She has also served as president of the Charleston chapter of the American Marketing Association.

Kelsey attended Syracuse University, where she received a dual bachelor’s degree in Communications and Information Management and Technology. At Charlestowne Hotels, Kelsey is responsible for the execution of marketing strategies and requests ensuring project timelines are on track and resources are utilized efficiently.

Kenneth Keller

Senior Graphic Designer

Kenneth cut his teeth on new brands and industries daily for years, completing a staggering total of 4,213 creative projects and launched a total of 321 designed websites. Charlestowne Hotels picked him up in 2017 and since then, Keller has leveraged his digital expertise to strategically maneuver the brands to take the lead in both the bleeding edge and quality. He currently has his feet on the ground in production for approximately 30+ properties and is responsible for their creative production, websites portfolio-wide and other digital tasks.

Kyle Hughey

Executive Vice President & COO

In his role as COO, Kyle is the “head coach” who helps define the company’s strategy and conducts productivity assessments for the complete portfolio. A trained CPA with a natural business acumen, Hughey has an eye for industry development and profit-optimization opportunities. Combining his 15-year background in the accounting industry with a passion for pushing creative boundaries, Kyle guides Charlestowne to integrate strategic, innovative systems that maximize the client’s goals.

As a graduate of The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, Kyle credits his military education for the discipline, attention to detail and dedication that he employs in his day-to-day role. Kyle began his career with Elliott Davis, a regional public accounting firm where he gained insight into the fundamentals of financial reporting. Prior to joining Charlestowne Hotels, Kyle worked with Kiawah Partners where he developed a passion for staff management, honing an adept skill to balance a team of employees and layered business operations.

Margo Payne

Director of Project Management

Margo has over nine years of marketing project management experience learned from an Atlanta based Digital Agency and Charlestowne Hotels. Her skills include creating and implementing processes to organize and increase efficiencies for the marketing team. She’ll focus on expanding upon current processes and increasing efficiencies for the company.

Matthew Cunningham

Corporate Operations Manager

Matthew joined Charlestowne Hotels in 2014, bringing nearly 15 years of hotel operations and sales experience to the company. Starting his career with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Matthew served in the management of various operational departments at the Park Hyatt Washington, D.C. before moving into group sales at the Grand Hyatt Washington, D.C. where he worked successfully with the Washington Convention & Visitors Bureau and Washington, D.C. Convention Center to welcome major corporations, associations and other groups to the area. He then joined AvalonBay Communities where he served as community manager for two class-A apartment home communities, ranging from 202 to 848 + units an array of retail establishments focusing on operational improvements, pre-openings, and renovations. Upon joining Charlestowne Hotels, Matthew served as the general manager at The Palms Oceanfront Hotel and has since served as several general manager, taskforce, and corporate positions; responsible for renovations, property improvements, and management transitions. Matthew is a graduate of James Madison University with a B.S. in Hospitality Management. Matthew has also received accreditation as a Certified Hotel Administrator through the American Hotel & Lodging Association.

Maxwell Spangler

Corporate Operations Manager

Max’s background is a combination of hotel operations and software engineering, which he uses to drive solutions in today’s complex, technology-driven hotel landscape. As part of the operations team, Max will be focusing on assisting management to attain optimum performance and maximum value through a combination of accurate financial reporting, strategic capital planning, aggressive marketing and innovative technologies.

Meredith Bybee

Corporate Controller

Meredith is a South Carolina native and attended the University of South Carolina. After graduation, she started her career in accounting at a small country club in Columbia where she developed a passion for the hospitality industry. A few years later, she relocated to Charleston to continue to focus her accounting career in hospitality for nine years at Wild Dunes Resort where she served as the assistant controller. Prior to Charlestowne Hotels, Meredith worked with Greystar Real Estate Partners as an accounting manager focusing on the development and construction aspects of multi-family housing. She joined Charlestowne Hotels in April 2019 and is responsible for the financial review of the company’s portfolio in addition to being accountable for the overall accounting operations.

Meredith Marion

Area Director of Sales

Meredith Marion comes to Charlestowne Hotels with five years of successful experience in event planning/execution and hospitality sales at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Meredith’s focus is managing all corporate and group sales responsibilities for Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Shem Creek Inn and Palms Oceanfront Hotel. She also assists with various task for projects and sales efforts at the Bristol Hotel. Her ability to establish strong client relationships has led to her success in these roles.

Where are you from or where did you grow up?
I was born in Germany, but grew up in Florida and Charleston.

Michael Cady

Vice President of Marketing

Michael Cady has more than 18 years of marketing and advertising experience from agency, corporate hospitality and on-site property environments.  Since joining Charlestowne Hotels in 2016, Cady has played an integral role in the growth of the company, and now oversees management of more than 45 independent boutique assets.  A testament to his efforts, Cady was selected as one of HSMAI’s Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales, Marketing and Revenue Optimization.

Before joining Charlestowne Hotels as vice president of marketing, Cady was the director of sales and marketing for Salamander Resort & Spa. Previous industry roles also include time as account director at the internationally acclaimed advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, corporate marketing director for Joie de Vivre and regional marketing director for Belmond, overseeing their U.S., Mexico and Caribbean properties.  At Charlestowne, Cady orchestrates global strategic objectives and leads an in-house marketing team that executes multi-layered campaigns and initiatives across a portfolio of assets through the integration of sales, marketing and revenue optimization. Brand identity development, hotel repositioning, digital media, e-commerce, systems implementation, CRM, email and drip marketing and multi-media asset development are all at the center of his team’s focus. He is also responsible for the recruitment and optimization of a vendor network that provides the Charlestowne portfolio with services such as public relations, CRM, branding, social media, printing and fulfillment and website development

Who is your dream travel companion?
Without a doubt, my wife Laura – but if she was unavailable, Bob Marley and Jerry Garcia.

Michelle Wanner

Accounting Systems Analyst

Michelle attended Charleston Southern University where she received a Bachelor’s in Environmental Management. She joined Charlestowne Hotels with almost 20 years of accounting and management experience. Most recently, Michelle was the controller for Hank’s Seafood and the DoubleTree in Historic Charleston. In her role with Charlestowne, she will manage the accounting systems and be responsible for the corporate office accounting as well as for the multiple properties in our portfolio.

Nadine Donnell

Senior Corporate Director of Revenue

Nadine started her hospitality career at Kiawah Island Resort, where she held many positions including the director of catering and conference services to revenue management, overseeing the revenue strategies for the Kiawah Island Inn and for the Kiawah Villa Resort. She has been at Charlestowne Hotels for over 10 years and works diligently and strategically to drive top line revenue for her portfolio of hotels.

Natalie Cline

Project Manager

Natalie attended the University of Alabama, where she received a degree in Marketing and International Business and went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Business from The Citadel Graduate School. Natalie is joining us with 10 years of marketing and project management experience with a diverse background. Her career spans five years at Blackbaud, the global leader in software for nonprofits, to most recently working in a creative marketing agency and as a freelance marketing consultant serving clients in the hospitality, food and beverage and professional services industries. At Charlestowne Hotels, Natalie will be responsible for the execution of marketing strategies and creative requests for a portfolio of hotels ensuring projects, resources and timelines are on track.

Where are you from or where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in my parents B&B in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

Parke comes to us with nine years of experience in the local hospitality industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in strategic communication and a master’s degree in hospitality revenue management from the College of Charleston. Ryan Krukar

Corporate Director of Operations

With more than 13 years of hospitality experience, Ryan brings a diverse background to the Charlestowne Hotels team: with expertise in hotel operations, revenue management, resort marketing and food & beverage. Ryan graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in English and History, during which time he began his career in hospitality management. Since that time, Ryan has served numerous roles including revenue manager, rooms director, marketing director and general manager across multiple hotels and resorts in New England. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, backcountry skiing, mountain biking and traveling. In his role as corporate director of operations, Ryan is responsible for overseeing the operation of Charlestowne Hotels’ portfolio in New England.

What destination is at the top of your bucket list?
A ski resort called Rusutsu in Hokkaido, Japan known for untracked, bottomless powder.

Ryan attended Lock Haven University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Prior to joining Charlestowne, Ryan has accumulated additional hospitality experience from positions at Wild Dunes, Marriott and Kiawah Resort. At Charlestowne, Ryan is is responsible for maximizing room revenue through the development and implementation of effective inventory management and pricing strategies for multiple hotel properties.

Jr. Graphic Designer

Stephanie attended the University of South Carolina, where she received a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, specifically visual communications and graphic design. She has spent the majority of her professional life in Charleston, South Carolina, working on a variety of clients throughout many industries. As a multidisciplinary designer, she takes pride in focusing her skills and talents on print production, branding, photography and digital design. Working in both agency and corporate environments has given Stephanie a well-rounded knowledge of marketing and creative initiatives, in turn helping to navigate her responsibilities as a designer for the Charlestowne Hotels portfolio.

Tony earned a master’s degree in Digital Marketing from HTL International in Barcelona, Spain in addition to a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson and Wales University. Tony’s background includes six years of marketing and operations experience in both the hotel and restaurant industries, most recently managing the social media for fashion designer Fannie Schiavoni.  Tony is responsible for developing inspiring and effective marketing strategies to drive direct revenue for the Charlestowne portfolio.

Tracy Nguyen

Accounting Assistant

Originally from Atlanta, Tracy attended Georgia State University where she received a degree in Accounting with a minor in German.  At Charlestowne Hotels, Tracy serves as an accounting assistant, and will be responsible for accounts payable and providing support to the accounting team.

Ursula Harvey

Executive Assistant to the CEO

Upon graduating from the University of Warsaw with a degree in economics, Ursula moved to Southern California where she launched a successful career in the field of procurement. After living in Los Angeles for 23 years, she relocated to Charleston, South Carolina, and eventually joined Charlestowne Hotels in 2013 with more than 20 years of professional experience in the manufacturing industry. Because of her extensive expertise in accounting, purchasing, logistics, product development and project management, she is able to proficiently provide support to the company’s CEO with its comprehensive array of lodging projects.
