Nashville, TN –  Our restaurant and bar area requires an energetic, Restaurant Manager who has an excellent track record in hospitality and who thrives in a fast-paced service environment. The focus is on professionalism and providing a superior customer experience. The ideal candidate must possess in depth knowledge about food & beverage in addition to superior customer relations skills and have excellent communication to build a rapport with guests. The Restaurant Manager provides proper training and supervision of all personnel including assistant managers and supervisors and ensures prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with the Fairlane Food and Beverage standards, policies and procedures.


  • To consistently ensure the maximum guest satisfaction while dining in the restaurant/bar
  • Pre-meal meeting conducted with service staff before each meal period
  • Supervision of floor during operation
  • Ensure that service personnel follow service protocol including steps of service
  • Monitor timing of guest experience
  • Handle all complaints to the guests’ satisfaction
  • To maintain a consistently smooth-running operation
  • Make the Front of the House staff weekly schedule
  • Ensure kitchen, stewarding and cashier staff are on duty as scheduled
  • Side-stations fully stocked with equipment
  • All side-work complete and checked out by the manager
  • Beverage machines functioning properly
  • Insure station rotation in seating
  • Assist in seating or service of guests as necessary
  • Coordinate all functions in dining room during service
  • Monitor productivity of service staff
  • To monitor and critique the quality and consistency of the food product
  • Special boards and/or descriptions posted accurately
  • Continuously check food quality and presentation coming from kitchen
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and comments regarding food and service
  • Be familiar with clients so that there is constant recognition of all repeat guests
  • Reservations reviewed with RESY each meal period and checked against the VIP list from the front desk
  • All special attention details handled properly
  • Maintain the physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant
  • Staff’s uniform and appearance meet specifications
  • All menus inspected daily by hostess
  • During service, constantly inspect tabletops, side-stations and tray stands
  • Ensure all equipment is in good condition and clean
  • Make sure all work areas are maintained neat, orderly and clean
  • Make sure all lights and music are adjusted appropriately for each meal period
  • To contribute to the profitability of the restaurant through cost control effectiveness
  • Administrative responsibilities as needed
  • Constantly perform positive up-selling techniques with service staff
  • Expedite table turnover and table resetting
  • Implement sales promotions and merchandising programs
  • Be familiar with all beverage-related procedures and equipment and assist the cashier when needed
  • Know and adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Know emergency procedures (including CPR) and work to prevent accidents
  • Be familiar with and enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws.
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned and/or required by management


  • Previous Restaurant Manager experience required
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Understanding of financial statements and labor productivity


Outgoing, confident, positive, focused, mature, reliable, empathetic, attentive, discreet, responsible and accountable, team player but equally able to work independently and without supervision, well presented


  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift
  • Requires repetitive motion
