Newport, RI – The Overnight Cleaner/Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for the taking care of our guests and ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of all guest rooms, hallways, and public spaces.


  • Stock cart with guest room supplies at beginning of shift
  • Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish and service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures
  • Replace dirty linens or terry and replenish guest room supplies
  • Empty wastebaskets
  • Leave the guest room in uniform arrangement as determined by the Executive Housekeeper
  • Ensure that the door is closed and the room is secured before leaving
  • Report any damage, hazards, or needed repairs in assigned areas
  • Clean all corridors, service areas, public restrooms, or public spaces as assigned
  • Respond to any projects or requests developed by the Housekeeping management team
  • Report any light bulbs, batteries, small wares that need replaced
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
  • Other duties as assigned
