Charleston, SC – The Food & Beverage Marketing Manager is the driving force behind the strategic planning and effective marketing initiatives for a portfolio of hotel restaurants, outlets, and stand-alone restaurants. The position will utilize food & beverage industry knowledge and strategic marketing thinking to develop effective marketing campaigns to drive traffic and reservations for a variety of food & beverage entities. This position requires both strategic planning and the ability to actively implement marketing tactics on their own as well as within a team. The strategy tactics implemented will target specific goals, from restaurant group bookings to individual covers, in meeting revenue budgets of each asset.

The Food & Beverage Marketing Manager works with the asset and the Corporate Project Management team to effectively oversee the implementation and execution of these strategies, while reporting directly to the VP of Marketing and a dotted line to the Director of Marketing Strategy. This position will also work closely with F&B Directors, hotel general managers, the Executive Chef, and have some contact with asset owners. The Food & Beverage Marketing Manager balances multiple marketing needs arising from the asset alongside other larger, ongoing, campaigns to support the entities revenue goals. The position requires a nimbleness and attention to detail to effectively lead and focus team priorities while expertly communicating timelines and expectations to stakeholders.


  • Annual marketing and action plan development based on seasonality and segment
  • Annual marketing budget development in coordination with marketing/ action plan
  • Evaluate reactive needs/ strategic requests
  • Execute strategic tactics from marketing plan
  • Support on problematic/ distressed entities
  • Manage effective on-boarding of new food & beverage entities
  • Client marketing satisfaction and management
  • Be well informed on the food and beverage industry changes


  • Develop marketing plans, media plans, and strategy (if applicable as a hotel outlet – develop marketing plans in tandem with hotel property Marketing Strategy Manager)
  • Implementation of marketing strategies and execution of tactics
  • Keep clients aware of outside sources and services that may be useful in benefiting assets most effectively
  • Keep the Director of Marketing Strategy and Vice President of Marketing informed of client activities and challenges
  • Handle special projects that may be assigned outside the scope of daily work
  • Follow processes and procedures of Project Management team to implement marketing strategy tactics
  • Liaise between internal departments, vendors and clients
  • Aid and participate in maintaining positive and effective relationships with clients

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and workloads
  • Technical proficiency and understanding of industry related systems, marketing platforms and related tools such as but not limited to: POS system, OpenTable, CRM, CMS, analytics, paid media, social media, and email marketing
  • Proficient in Google Apps/Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc)

Travel Expectations:

  • May be required to travel for business purposes up to 35% of the time

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, hospitality or related field
  • Experience in digital marketing (email marketing, paid media, etc.)
  • Minimum of six (5) years marketing related experience required
  • Minimum of two (3) years Food & Beverage experience required
