Q2 RevPAR Growth Outperforms the US by 54%

Charleston, SC – Charlestowne Hotels is reporting that its hotels under management in the second quarter of this year enjoyed RevPAR growth of 10.04% compared to the same quarter one year ago. Smith Travel Research recently released US second quarter RevPAR results indicating year-over-year growth of 6.5%. Comparing Charlestowne Hotels’ managed properties growth and that of the US, Charlestowne outperformed the US by 54% in the second quarter. This most recent quarter’s year-over-year RevPAR growth continues a five year trend of consistently outperforming the national average. In addition to outperforming the US RevPAR growth in the second quarter, the year to date results of Charlestowne’s properties under management shows growth 26% greater than that reported by STR for the US over the same period.

Properties that just came under Charlestowne’s management within the trailing twelve months, ending June 30, 2015, were not included in the analysis as they were not under management during the same period one year ago. However, it is noteworthy that those new additions to the portfolio of managed properties saw an average 22% year-over-year increase in RevPAR.
