Fayetteville, AR – The Sales & Events Manager is in charge of promoting, prospecting and selling the hotel through personal sales calls, written correspondence, telemarking, site inspections and local and regional prospecting/generating and maximizing revenue.

JOB FUNCTIONS                                                                                                                                                                                                  

Note: the following duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive

  • Responsible for achieving quarterly revenue goal and annual rooms budget
  • Manage all business and leisure travel accounts in local, national, and international markets
  • Work directly with different travel agencies, local business’s, and the University factions to create a lasting business relationship with local entities to maximize room night volume
  • Negotiate corporate accounts with local business’s with a focus on repeat corporate business
  • Perform exceptional communication skills throughout all functions of the position
  • Perform daily phone solicitation of leads
  • Conduct site inspections with travel agents
  • Promote, prospect and sell the hotel through personal sales calls, written correspondence, telemarking, site inspections and local/regional prospecting, generating, and maximizing revenue
  • Monitor availability for clients on a daily basis
  • Prepare and update quarterly tactical plan for leisure segment to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Works collaboratively with travel agents to ensure the client’s needs are being met
  • Participates in sales calls with sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business
  • Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplary customer service, and creating a positive example for guest relations
  • Executes and supports the hotel’s standards
  • Maintain a positive work environment by communicating in a manner that enables positive interactions with guests, vendors, co-workers, and management
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the General Manager
