Description

Charleston, SC – The primary function of the Kitchen Steward is to assist the restaurant/banquet staff with dishwashing support services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the kitchen/banquet staff as needed
  • Clean all dishes, pots, utensils, silverware from the restaurant
  • Put away the dishes and all equipment used
  • Take out the garbage
  • Must work as a team player

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Some experience in customer service helpful but not required
  • Must be a minimum of 17 years old
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and constant use of hands, arms, eyes and voice
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow safe and proper procedures in the course of daily work
  • Perform opening and closing duties as appropriate
  • Arrive on time and demonstrate effective time management
  • Other duties as assigned, including tasks which support the essential functions and may be changed or redesigned
