Nashville, TN – The Bartender / Cocktail Server is to provide efficient, friendly customer service at all times, and to maintain a clean, professional bar.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Knowledge, Training, & Work Experience)

  • Prior experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • To properly set-up and maintain a clean area throughout the shift
  • Must have full familiarity with menus
  • Must have full knowledge of beverage offerings
  • Station set-up and breakdown/side-work/deep-cleaning
  • Put away storeroom supplies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Reset tables/bar top as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist in maintenance of bar dining area and stations
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager on duty
  • Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained
  • Prepare coffee and tea for service

HOTEL SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by manager
  • Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible)
  • Familiarity with parking validation procedures
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
  • Support team to reach common goals
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings

ENVIRONMENT and POSITION ANALYSIS

  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift
  • Requires repetitive motion
